LS: Family Etiquette (8-12 years old)

Service Description

Class description: In this class students will gain self confidence, an awareness of how their words & actions impact others and other skills they need to help them succeed personally in their lives. They will also develop good habits, manners, and etiquette in different scenarios. Manners are important because they help build character, self-esteem and good relationships in general. But most importantly they show others they are valuable to you. In a decaying society where manners are not considered that important anymore, children and teens will truly stand out when they show great manners. During a typical lesson, I will be using the Etiquette Factory curriculum as well as Young People Ask articles. A variety of games, videos, role-playing and optional after-class questions will also be used to reinforce concepts learned. Class minimum of 5 students. These are the topics you can expect in this class. Week 1: Keeping our Rooms Clean Week 2: Respect for Mom & Dad Week 3: Respecting Sibling's Property Week 4: Accepting the word "No" with grace. Week 5: 1st request Week 6: Empathy Week 7: Slamming doors Week 8: Tact Week 9: Loosing Control
